1. Find your real best sellers
Look at your order history in Uber Eats Manager or your own till. Pick the five or six dishes people order most. Use what actually sells, not what you'd like to sell more of.
2. Make a best sellers category and put it first
Create a category called Most Popular, Best Sellers or House Favourites, add those dishes, and drag it to the top. A dish can sit in this category and in its usual one too. Our guide to editing your menu in Uber Eats Manager shows where to do it.
3. Order the other categories the way people eat
- Best sellers
- Your main dishes, split by type if you have many
- Sides and extras
- Drinks
- Desserts
A café might use Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee, Cold drinks and Cakes instead. More on this in how to organise your Uber Eats menu categories.
4. Put the best item first in every category
The order inside each category matters too. Lead with the most popular or best looking dish, and keep items with photos near the top. A row that starts with a great photo gets looked at.
5. Give the top dishes the best photos and descriptions
Your best sellers are seen the most, so they're where a clear photo and a good description count most. See how to add photos and 30 menu description examples.
6. Check it again every few weeks
Favourites change with the seasons and new dishes. Look at your sales every few weeks and move dishes up or down.
Common mistakes
- Drinks or extras as the first category.
- A long first category with every dish in it.
- Best sellers buried at the bottom of a big category.
- Old categories from a previous menu still at the top.
